Sometimes it seems we are running around in circles. Sometimes things are better second time around. Repetition can be agonizing and hypnotic. In fashion, music, art and economy there seem to be recurring trends. Evolution is based on tiny variations in infinitely repeated loops. Patterns from nature inspire designers. In which way is repetition influencing you?

What to expect?
Next to contributions by invited top visual and theoretical creatives, a large part of the subjects was crowdsourced with an international call for art. Subjects include human printers, Gille de la Tourette syndrome, illustrations about repetitive sayings, patterns in fashion, Japanese karaoke singers, an in-depth interview with a Steven Spielberg look-a-like and a talking parakeet.

OPEN CALL: THE BODY
Deadline 15th August

We are looking for exceptional, fresh, pleasantly disruptive, inspiring, creative work in all kinds of categories. This time with the theme: THE BODY.

We all have one, we've all seen some. But it's not only the human body we're talking about. It can be a house as well, something fashionable, morphed chairs, crossover art & design between nature and technology, mutated insects, merging body and canvas, 3-D typography...

We're looking forward to your ideas and work! (if you're in doubt, don't hesitate but just contact us)

Tip us if you see something that should be featured.

Theme: THE BODY
Submission deadline: August 15th, 2010 (but the sooner the better!)
Send to: submit@ok-periodicals.com
All categories are welcome! (graphic, design, photography, science, illustration, new media, writing, etc)
